BOSTON – University at Albany men's lacrosse student-athlete
Silas Richmond has been named the America East Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Â
Richmond is coming off a week in which he stepped up production dramatically. After being held scoreless against Cornell to start the year, the Preseason Player of the Year found the back of the net seven times in two games this past week against Penn and Drexel. He added six assists, two ground balls, and a caused turnover to his stat sheet, helping UAlbany go 1-1 on the week.
Â
Richmond claims weekly honors from the conference following
Jackson Palumb (Offense) and
Justin Lee (Defense) a week ago.
Â
The Great Danes return to action this Saturday when they travel to face UMass. The game is set to start at 12:00 p.m. from Garger Field in Amherst
