How It Happened
- Stony Brook struck first, as Isabella Caporuscio, named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watchlist, scored just over a minute into the first quarter. Haydin Esifeld followed to give the Great Danes a 2-0 lead.
- Paisley Cook responded for UAlbany with a free-position goal, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
- The Seawolves added two more goals spanning the end of the first and start of the second quarter before Cook scored again with 10:20 left in the half, making it 4-2.
- Stony Brook closed out the second quarter with three straight goals, entering halftime with a 7-2 lead.
- Reese Hjertaas scored her second goal of the game for the Seawolves early in the third quarter. UAlbany's Long Island native answered with back-to-back goals, narrowing the gap to four with over 10 minutes left in the third.
- Hjertaas then scored two more goals, extending Stony Brook's lead to 10-4 heading into the final 15 minutes of regulation.
- Stony Brook added four more goals, while Jaedyn Frink scored her first goal of the season, with Mya Carroll scoring off a free position goal for UAlbany, as the Seawolves came away with a 15-6 victory.
