Short Story:
The University at Albany men's lacrosse team defeated Siena, 11-9, in the NCAA Tournament Opening Round to advance to the First Round for the second consecutive season. The Great Danes jumped out to an early lead and held off a late push from the Saints, using three man-up goals and a five-point performance from Silas Richmond to secure the win.

Coach Scott Marr: "What can you say? What an unbelievable night for the Capital Region. With this being the first time that Siena and UAlbany have met, in any sport, in an NCAA Division I Tournament game, it lived up to the hype. I'm really proud of my team for sticking with it and playing for the full 60 minutes and grinding it out. I'm also proud of Liam [Gleason], Timmy [Cox], and Derrick [Eccles] and their team for getting to this point and putting up an unbelievable fight."
