Head Coach Scott Marr: "Great response from Tuesday's game, that was a total team win. I thought we played with poise and had great responses when they scored. We witnessed an unbelievable performance by Ryan Doherty, nine goals is quite a day. His teammates did a great job getting him the ball!"

How it Happened:
  • UAlbany got on the board on its opening possession when Ryan Doherty buried a goal on a pass from Silas Richmond.
  • Hobart responded midway through the first with a goal on a shorthanded, fast break goal, scored by Alex Rosa.
  • The Great Danes re-took the lead with 4:38 on the clock in the first. Brendan O'Keefe came from behind the net to find a sprinting Doherty out front, diving on the shot and scoring to make it 2-1.
  • The lead was pushed to 3-1 moments later when Daniel Kesselring attacked the goal with a full head of steam, winding up with a blistering shot to score his first of the afternoon.
  • Koleton Marquis made it 4-1 with 2:19 remaining on a feed from Richmond before the Great Danes pushed it to 5-1 18 seconds later on Doherty's third of the first quarter.
  • Hobart's Tye Steenhuis broke the UAlbany scoring run with 48 seconds on the clock.
  • 30 seconds later, UAlbany's Brady Smith took the ball all the way down the field before dumping it to Marquis for his second of the game. It was Smith's first collegiate point as a goalkeeper.
  • The Statesmen were able to score on the ensuing faceoff, making it 6-3 at the end of the first.
  • Doherty found the back of the net again just 15 seconds into the second quarter, pushing the lead back to four goals.
  • A minute later, Jackson Palumb got in on the action with his first goal of the game.
  • Hobart made it 8-4 with 10:34 on the clock in the second courtesy of David Peterkin.
  • Doherty scored his fifth of the afternoon with 8:45 remaining to make it 9-4.
  • Shortly after, Hobart's Cade Dino found the back of the net to make it 9-5.
  • With just under 30 seconds remaining in the first, Doherty scored his sixth of the game to put UAlbany up 10-5.
  • The Statesmen were able to add one more to the scoreboard with one second on the clock before halftime.
  • Alex Pfeiffer was the first to score in the second half, pushing the UAlbany lead back to five goals early in the third.
  • Doherty collected his seventh goal of the afternoon midway through the third to push the score to 12-6. He made it 13-6 a few minutes later with his eighth, and 14-6 after that with his ninth.

  • Hobart's John Jude Considine made it three straight for Hobart with 13:30 on the clock.
  • UAlbany then scored back-to-back goals to push the lead to 16-9, with Palumb collecting his second and Amos Whitcomb scoring his first of the day.
  • Hobart's Cade Dino made it 16-10 with about nine minutes remaining.
  • With 7:22 on the clock, Dino found the back of the net for his third of the game.
