Key Stat Lines
Head Coach Jon Mueller"Great bounce back after yesterday. There were positive performances from a number of guys today on the mound. Ryan Pittz gave us a good start, and the bullpen followed his lead. We played a very good team and maintained our composure for two of the three games."

How it Happened:
  • Ryan Pittz started the game for the Great Danes and Chris Olivier started on the mound for Lamar.
  • Lamar opened the scoring in the first, on a fielder's choice by Tab Tracy to score Damian Ruiz.
  • The Cardinals extended the lead to two nothing in the second, on another fielder's choice, this time scoring Heladio Moreno.
  • In the fourth inning Zane Spinn scored for Lamar, making the score 3 nothing.
  • Mark Gajowski entered the game in the fifth inning, making his collegiate debut.
  • Damian Ruiz drove in two with a double in the sixth inning, making the score 5 nothing.
  • The Great Danes cut the lead to three in the seventh on a Levi McAllister double to left field, bringing home Jared Toby and Luke Filippi.
  • Kyle Moseley came in to pitch for Lamar in the seventh.
  • Levi McAllister scored in the seventh on a Lamar error, to make the score five to three.
  • Christian Mello made his collegiate debut, throwing a clean seventh inning.
  • Thomas Quinn came on in relief for the eighth.
