Key Stat Lines
Head Coach Jon Mueller: "Dylan Banner dominated a top-25 team for six innings. We turned four double plays and were tremendous defensively. Give credit to Lamar, they are difficult to deal with and had a big eighth inning to get by us."

How it Happened:
  • Dylan Banner started the game for the Great Danes and Peyton Havard started on the mound for Lamar.
  • The Danes turned double plays to end the first two innings.
  • UAlbany took a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth with a two run blast by Ryan Ferremi, launching over the right field wall.
  • Lamar made a pitching change in the top of the seventh, bringing in Fabian Ramirez.
  • Michael Maggio brought Cooper Loyal home to make the score 3-0 with a double to left field in the seventh.
  • Trent Baker came into the game for Lamar with two outs in the seventh.
  • Banner threw six shutout innings and handed the ball off to Ethan Nardacci in the seventh.
  • John Vitucci brought a run home in the eighth to make the score 4-0 with a fielder's choice to second.
  • Lamar took the lead in the eighth, scoring seven runs.
  • Tyler Kneller came on in relief to finish the eighth.
  • The Cardinals brought in Jayden Shertel to pitch the ninth.
