BOSTON - The University at Albany track and field's Adaliz Hunt was named the America East Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday.
 
In her fifth year of competition with the Great Danes, Hunt ran a personal record in the 60m dash at the Armory's Collegiate Distance Carnival. The native of Centereach, New York improved her time and now stands fourth in the program's top 10 with a 7.45 race on Friday (Dec. 5).
 
Hunt's award marks the first weekly award this season for the track and field teams
 
The track and field programs will return to action on January 16 at Ramapo's Season Opener.
