HOME OPENER!

The UAlbany women’s basketball team is back for the 2025 season with seven newcomers (five freshman and two transfers) on the 12-person team. Delanie Hill and Martina Borellas highlight the returners after being named to the America East All-Rookie team last season. Also returning are Bella Stuart and Gabriela Falcão. Stuart makes her long-awaited return to the court to make her first appearance for UAlbany after injury kept her on the sidelines the entirety of last season. Falcão returns after leading the team with 32 blocks last season and is set to be  instrumental for the Great Danes this season. The Red Foxes’ trip to the Capital Region will mark the start of their 2025-26 season. Marist’s Lexie Tarul and Danielle Williamsen were both named to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team, a reflection of their strong 2024-25 campaign.

Since 2013, the Red Foxes have won four of the six matchups between these two teams; however, the Great Danes took the win in their latest meeting in December of 2023.

WEAR PINK!
SPIRIT DAY

UAlbany football returns to Casey Stadium this Saturday as the Great Danes host CAA rival Bryant for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

It’s Spirit Day at Casey Stadium as the team recognizes the band, cheer, and dance teams that put work into making incredible game day experiences. Members of the community will also be recognized with local cheer and dance performers set to participate with UAlbany’s spirit squads during the game.

In addition, Saturday will be the team’s annual “Pink Game” to support the American Cancer Society. This impactful game offers the community a unique opportunity to honor and remember a loved one who has been impacted by any type of cancer by having the name of someone they wish to honor or remember displayed on a UAlbany football player's helmet.

Both UAlbany and Bryant are looking to get back on track this Saturday. The Great Danes come into the contest with an overall record of 1-8, going 0-5 in conference play. Braynt enters the game with a 2-7 mark, having also gone 0-5 in CAA competition.
