Key Stats
Head Coach Katie Thomson: "We had a great team effort today. I really thought we progressed as the game went on. It was a great second-half performance from the draw, the defense, and the offense. We moved in a great direction as the game went on and we were able to cause so many turnovers, gain possessions, and develop a lot of movement on offense."

How it Happened
- The University at Albany women's lacrosse team capped off a three-game home stand with their final regular-season game of the year in John Fallon Field by hosting their final non-conference opponent of the season, Le Moyne. UAlbany had most recently clinched a spot in the America East postseason for the 17th-straight season by defeating UMass Lowell 10-7 over the weekend, holding the River Hawks to their lowest scoring output of the year.
- Le Moyne is in its first year of reclassification from a Division II program to a Division I program. In its first 16 games, the Dolphins had gone 9-7 overall, including 8-2 against its NEC opponents.
- For the second-straight game, Megan Dineen was the first player on the field to score a goal, finding the back of the net on Tuesday afternoon just 54 seconds after the opening draw. Le Moyne quickly responded less than one minute later to tie the game at one.
- Following a scoring drought lasting nearly eight minutes of game time, Le Moyne broke through again to take a 2-1 lead with 5:38 remaining in the first quarter. Mikaela Mooney tied the game at two four minutes later, leading into a three-goal run for the Great Danes lasting into the first third of the second quarter.
- Le Moyne ended UAlbany scoring run with 8:10 left in the second quarter, the Dolphins' first of three unanswered goals to close out the first half with a 5-4 lead. UAlbany had closed the first half holding advantages of 13-4 in ground balls, 13-11 in shots, and 6-9 in turnovers, but trailed by one.
- UAlbany's defense locked down in the second half, holding Le Moyne to just two total goals, one in each quarter, while scoring nine. Emma Weaver and Allie Maloney scored in the first seven-and-a-half minutes of the third to take the lead before Le Moyne tied the game at six with 6:49 remaining.
- The Great Danes closed the third with goals from Ava Poupard and Bryar Hogg, kicking off a seven-goal run lasting until Emma Weaver's goal with 4:43 left in the fourth. Le Moyne scored one final goal, with 2:58 on the clock, to bring the final score to 13-7 in favor of UAlbany.
- Weaver finished the game with three goals and one assist, while Maloney and Dineen each also recorded a hat trick. Hogg finished with one goal and three assists.
- Defensively, Mackenzie Salentre and Emma Torkoff each won five ground balls, with Salentre adding four caused turnovers and Torkoff causing three. UAlbany has allowed just 14 goals combined to each of their last two opponents.Â
