Key Stat Lines
Head Coach Scott Marr: "It was certainly a tough game, but I'm proud of our effort for sure. When you play teams like Virginia, teams like Yale, top 10 programs, playing a complete game is the challenge. In the third quarter, just like at Virginia where we gave up nine goals, this one we gave up seven. It hurts. We battled and we tried hard, but we didn't finish some plays and they did. Finishing a game, finishing plays throughout the whole game is something we have to continue to work on. Quick turnaround, we'll get back to work tomorrow for Merrimack on Sunday."

How it Happened:
  • The Great Danes got on the board first with two early goals from Silas Richmond and Ryan Doherty.
  • Yale's Logan Soelberg broke up the UAlbany scoring with the Bulldogs' first goal just over four minutes in.
  • Jackson Palumb put the Great Danes back up tow with his 12th of the year with 7:54 on the clock.
  • The Bulldogs then went on a three-goal run stretching into the second quarter to take their first lead of the night, 4-3.
  • UAlbany responded with two straight from Graydon Hogg and Parker Emmett to take a one-goal advantage.
  • Yale scored back-to-back goals 30 seconds apart with just over 10 minutes remaining in the half to take a 6-5 advantage.
  • UAlbany's Palumb scored his second of the night with 3:21 remaining to tie the game at 6-6, the final goal of the half.
  • Both teams came out hot for the second half with four goals scored in the first three minutes. Yale's Johnny Keib opened the scoring before back-to-back UAlbany goals from Alex Pfeiffer and Ryan Doherty to take an 8-7 lead. Yale's Max Krevsky then tied it up.
  • Yale then scored five of the next six goals to end the third quarter, taking a 13-9 lead into the final frame. The lone goal scored from the Great Danes came from Graydon Hogg, his 100th career goal.
  • Yale scored three more goals in the fourth, making it six straight before UAlbany's Daniel Kesselring stopped the bleeding with 3:34 remaining.
  • Yale scored once more to make it 17-10 with 1:01 on the clock.
