How it Happened:
- Connor Eisenmann started on the bump for the Great Danes. The Revolutionaries gave Graham Jeffries the start.
- The Revolutionaries struck first with a two-out rally in the first inning. Following a single and a walk, Bryan Belo brought in a run with a hit to center field. Robby Wacker doubled to right to score another two.
- In the top of the second UAlbany loaded the bases, drawing three straight walks. Anthony Scarabino cleared the bases with a double to level the score, 3-3.
- Cade Davis came in to pitch for George Washington midway through the second.
- The Revolutionaries began the bottom of the second with three consecutive hits, including an RBI single by Steve Ditomaso. George Washington continued to add on to their lead scoring another run by stealing home, making it 5-3.
- Loading the bases in the third, the Revolutionaries added another run from a sacrifice fly by Sam Gates. Ditomaso singled to left to bring in another two, making it 8-3.
- Jared Toby led off the fourth with a solo shot to cut into the lead, 8-4.
- UAlbany brought in Luke Boule to pitch in the fourth inning.
- Jarrett Korson was brought in by George Washington during the fifth inning, inheriting runners on the corners with two outs.
- Luke Filippi and Toby got back-to-back hits to score two runs as the Great Danes looked to come back.
- Reclaiming momentum, the Revolutionaries scored on a sac fly to left before adding another run from a Brett Young single, pushing the score to 10-6 in the fifth.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Wacker reached base with a walk and then scored on an Ellis Schwartz double to make it 11-6.
- Max Haug came in to pitch for the Revolutionaries in the top of the seventh inning.
- The Great Danes brought in Cam Fuer to pitch in the seventh.
- Jason Goldblum came in to pitch for UAlbany in the eighth.
- George Washington held on to win the contest, 11-6.
