How it Happened:
- Connor Eisenmann was given the start by the Great Danes. Drew Beam started on the mound for the Volunteers.
- UAlbany got the bats going from the start. Ryan Ferremi started the inning with a lead-off single and Jared Toby followed with a double. Will Binder capitalized with a sacrifice ground ball to give the Great Danes a 1-0 advantage.
- Tennessee struck back in the bottom of the fourth. After getting the first two batters on, Dean Curly turned on one for a three-run go-ahead bomb.
- Matthew Mariano came in to pitch for UAlbany with a runner on second and first in the fourth inning.
- Loading the bases, Billy Amick hit a bases-clearing double and advanced to third on the throw home. Amick scored on a sac fly to left field. The Volunteers continued to grow their lead with Robin Villeneuve hitting a two-run shot to extend their lead to 9-1.
- With two outs, UAlbany got runners on with a hit by pitch and a single. Toby singled through the right side to score John Vitucci, making it 9-2.
- Starting the bottom of the fifth with back-to-back hits, Dylan Dreiling drove in a run with a line drive to left. Kavares Tears capitalized with a three-run home run to center field, pushing the score to 13-2.
- Aaron Combs came into pitch for Tennessee in the sixth inning.
- The Volunteer's added on in the sixth inning. Dalton Bargo hit in two runs with a home run to left field. After drawing three walks to load the bases, Cannon Peebles hit a double to the wall to drive in three runs, making it 18-2.
- Steven Turk was brought in by the Great Danes to pitch in the sixth inning.
- Dylan Loy was brought in to pitch by Tennessee in the top of the seventh.
- The Volunteers brought in Luke Payne in the eighth inning.
- In the bottom of the eighth, Jason Goldblum was brought in from the bullpen by UAlbany.
- Tennessee added three more runs with a Reese Chapman bases-clearing double in the eighth.
- JJ Garcia came in for the Volunteers in the ninth inning.
- Thomas McElwee started the inning with a lead-off double before scoring on Vitucci's single up the middle. Ferremi followed up with his fourth hit of the game, driving a two-run shot to right field.
