Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team took an early lead over conference foe UMBC, but ultimately fell to the Retrievers, 10-7.

- Jason Bottari, Danny Alvarez, Carson Dunkel, and Josh Salandy all added a hit each. Alvarez also had an RBI.

How it Happened:
- Matthew Mariano started on the mound for the Great Danes, Luke Johnson started for UMBC.
- UAlbany struck first in the opening inning. Danny Alvarez hit a grounder through the right side, scoring Chris Fisher to make it 1-0.
- UMBC tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom half of the first on a Diaz sac fly to right.
- The Great Dane broke open the score in the second, crossing home plate five times. Will Binder hit an RBI single to score Josh Salandy before Fisher drove in Binder on a single to left. With two runners on, Will Feil hit his eighth home run of the year to right field, making it 6-1 Great Danes.
- The Retrievers added two more runs in the fourth on two home runs, one from Molessa and one from Ryan, making it 6-4.
- UMBC's Diaz singled to left in the fifth to make it a 6-5 game.
- Eddie Sargent took the mound for UMBC to start the sixth. He was replaced by Ben Craig with two outs.
- UMBC's Swenda hit a deep shot to center in the sixth to tie the game, 6-6.
- Kelly took the mound for UMBC midway through the seventh.
- Michael DiMartino took the mound to start the bottom half of the seventh.
- UMBC's Trythall hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh, making it 10-6.
- Will Feil hit an RBI single to left in the eighth to cut the lead to three runs, 10-7.
