Head Coach Katie Thomson: "I want to start by thanking our administration and facilities staff for getting the field and stands ready for game time after the snowstorm. It was incredible to be able to get the game in today, and their tireless effort and support does not go unnoticed by our program. We were proud of how we came out in the second half and put the pieces together to play UAlbany lacrosse. Colgate gave a great fight from start to finish, and we were happy with how we responded to finish the game."

How it Happened
- The University at Albany women's lacrosse team briefly returned home for one game on Saturday against Patriot League opponent Colgate. It was the Great Danes' only game at home, after two-straight on the road at Brown and Syracuse, before embarking on a three-game road swing at Stanford, UC Davis, and UConn over the next two and a half weeks.
- Sarah Falk put UAlbany on the board with her 10th goal of the season with 12:28 on the clock in the first quarter. Colgate scored the next two, just over a minute apart, to take a 2-1 lead.
- Falk quickly knotted the game at two, and three-and-a-half minutes later, after Colgate retook the lead, Katie Pascale tied the game at three.Â
- Colgate closed the first quarter on a 3-0 run to lead 6-3 heading into the second. Falk scored her third of the day to open the quarter to cut the Raiders' lead to two. UAlbany and Colgate traded the next six goals, leading into back-to-back Great Danes' scores.
- Megan Dineen, with 5:42 left in the second, scored to close within 9-7, before Falk scored her fourth of the day with 3:20 to go in the half. The goal was Falk's 100th of her career.
- Colgate scored once more before halftime to lead 10-8 at the break. The Raiders had outshot UAlbany 12-6 in the first quarter, but saw the advantage start to slip away in the second, where UAlbany held a 9-6 shots advantage.
- Shonly Wallace commanded the third quarter nearly on her own, scoring five of seven UAlbany goals in the period. She scored twice in the first 70 seconds of the half, tying the game, and scored her third just under four minutes later after Colgate had briefly retaken the lead.
- Wallace's third goal of the quarter sparked a four-goal run for the Great Danes, who over the first seven minutes of the third had outscored Colgate 6-1. After the Raiders scored two-in-a-row, Wallace added her fifth and final goal with 1:04 left in the third, giving UAlbany a 14-13 lead.
- Wallace's third-quarter surge had tied her for the game lead with Falk with five goals apiece. Falk, however, was not finished scoring putting away her sixth goal to give UAlbany a three-goal lead just 48 seconds into the fourth.
- After Colgate scored with 12:20 to go, Falk rolled off each of the next three goals to bring her total to nine and give UAlbany a 19-14 victory.
- Falk's nine goals rank as the second-highest in a single game in Division I-era program history. It. Is the third nine-point performance from a Great Dane this season, following Pascale's matching five-goal, four assist efforts against Cornell and Fairfield.Â
Next: UAlbany begins a three-game road trip at #17 Stanford on March 12.
