SHORT STORY: The Great Danes began with the advantage but after six lead changes, the host Seawolves held on to take the game and the series, Sunday.

KEY STATS
- Senior Maranda Jimenez led the team with four RBI from a sac fly and a home run.
- Senior Lové Drumgole followed with three RBI from her first career home run.
- Six different Great Danes tallied a hit against the Seawolves - senior Alexis Phillips, Jimenez, junior Maddi Petrella, freshman Sierra Fretz, junior Wendi Hammond, and Drumgole.
- In the field, UAlbany combined for two double plays. Fretz and graduate student Katie Falotico went for the double play to close out the third while Drumgole tallied a solo double play in the bottom of the fifth.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Great Danes opened the game with a run in the first inning. After drawing a walk to get on base, junior Morgan Petty stole two bases to advance to third. Maranda Jimenez hit a sac fly to drive in the first run.
- The Seawolves took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the first.
- UAlbany tied the score in the second inning.
- With two on base - Maddi Petrella walked and Wendi Hammond singled - Lové Drumgole hit the first home run of her career for three RBI.
- The Great Danes held the tie with three-straight outs in the bottom of the second.
- Stony Brook once again took the lead in the bottom of the third.
- A scoreless fourth inning saw a single and a runner left on base from both teams.
- Putting two on base as Drumgole drew a walk and Alexis Phillips singled to left field, Jimenez notched the Great Danes' second three-run homer of the game. Hitting the ball over the center-field fence, the senior gave UAlbany a 7-5 lead with her ninth home run of the season.
- Drumgole closed the fifth inning with a double play to secure the Great Danes' two-run lead with two innings to go.
- The Seawolves changed the lead for the last time in the bottom of the sixth to earn the 8-7 victory.
NEXT: The Great Danes will close the conference season with a single game at Binghamton on Wednesday (May 4).
