SHORT STORY: In a low-scoring contest, the Retrievers gained the sole run of the day to take the 1-0 win over the Great Danes, Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first inning saw both teams leave runners on base but neither saw the full diamond.
- The Great Danes once again left one on base in the top of the second before tallying three-straight outs against the Retrievers, including two strikeouts, to head back to the dugout.
- UMBC scored the first, and only, run in the third inning.
- Morgan Petty opened the fourth inning with a double before stealing third.
- After two walks from the UMBC pitcher, the bases were loaded but UAlbany was unable to take advantage and the Retrievers held on to the lead at the end of the fourth.
- Both teams saw a 1-2-3 defense in the fifth to make for a quick inning.
- For the second time, Petty opened the inning with a double to get on base in the sixth.
- Unable to take advantage, the Great Danes had one opportunity left to tie the score or take the lead.
- Lové Drumgole got on base in the seventh with a single after two outs. UAlbany left two runners on base as UMBC notched its third out to take the win, 1-0.
