How it Happened
  • Yale opened the game on a 3-0 run lasting nearly the first five minutes of the first quarter.  Elijah Gash scored the Great Danes' first goal, running half the length of the field to cut the Bulldogs' lead to 3-1 with 8:29 remaining in the first.  Yale scored a minute-and-a-half later to go back up three.

  • Yale opened the second quarter on a 3-0 run, before UAlbany responded in-kind with their own three goal run to keep their deficit at two, 9-7, with 5:03 left in the first half.  Yale went up 10-7 with 3:30 remaining before Yuker scored again with 45 seconds left in the second to keep the Great Dane deficit at two at the break.
  • Yale went up three just 16 seconds into the third quarter before Yunker scored back-to-back goals with 13:21 and 10:55 remaining in the third to close within one.  A brief scoring lull preceded Thomas Decker's goal with 6:29 remaining in the quarter to tie the game at 11.
