How it Happened
- Katie Pascale put UAlbany on the board within the first 90 seconds of the opening draw, finding the back of the net, unassisted, with 13:34 remaining in the first. Hofstra scored an equalizer just under four minutes of game time later to tie the score at one.
- Sarah Falk put UAlbany back on top, 2-1, with 8:07 to go in the first, before Hofstra closed the quarter scoring two goals in the final 7:28 to take their first lead, 3-2.
- Hofstra's scoring run extended to four after notching the first two goals of the second quarter to take a 5-2 lead with 1:49 remaining before the break. UAlbany ended the run with five seconds remaining in the first half when Hailey Carroll scored off a setup from Mackenzie Beam to cut the Pride lead to two heading into halftime.
- Hofstra's lead grew once more after scoring the first three goals of the third quarter to go up 8-3 with 8:37 left in the third. Pascale scored her second goal with 7:12 remaining in the third to bring UAlbany back within four.
- After Hofstra scored to open the fourth quarter, UAlbany scored each of the next two to cut the Pride advantage to three, 9-6, with 10:17 left in the game. Hofstra ended UAlbany's late run with 6:58 to go to go back up by four.
- Katie Pascale completed her hat trick with the Great Danes' final goal of the game, with 6:10 remaining, to cut the lead to three. Hofstra scored once more, with 4:19 remaining, to make the final score 11-7.
- Pascale led all scorers with three goals and one assist, leading five Great Danes accounting for seven goals. In goal, Katherine Chiarella recorded a career-high 13 saves. Hofstra saw five players score two goals.Â
