Short Story: UAlbany rallies from down four but falls in the fourth quarter to Drexel, 14-12.

Key Stats Head Coach Scott Marr: "We made some positive strides today in our effort to play hard.  It was a game of runs and unfortunately they had the last one.  I thought we battled but still have to clean up a few things.  But I was happy we battled to the last whistle."

How it Happened
  • Drexel opened the game scoring three unanswered goals, with their first coming within the first minute of the game.  Jacob Moran put UAlbany on the board for the first time with his first of four goals on the afternoon, and first of three in the first half, with 7:11 remaining in the first quarter.
  • UAlbany scored each of the next two, with Graydon Hogg tying the game at three with 4:07 left in the first.  Drexel scored the first two goals of the second quarter before Moran scored his third to break up what ultimately became a 4-1 scoring run for the Dragons.
  • Camden Hay scored his first goal of the season with 3:43 left in the second to bring the score within 7-5, but Drexel scored to bookend the halftime period to go up 9-5 with 13:46 left in the third.
  • UAlbany rolled off the next four goals to tie the game at nine with just under one minute remaining in the third quarter.  Hogg gave UAlbany the lead, 11-10, early in the fourth off an assist from Teioshontathe McComber, the Great Danes' first of the game.
  • Drexel responded by scoring each of the next four to take a 14-11 lead with 4:30 remaining.  UAlbany was unable to rally, with McComber scoring one final time with 1:20 to go to make the final score 14-12 in favor of the Dragons.
