Short Story: Women's track & field kicks off the two-day UConn Dog Fight, placing third out of four teams and winning three events.

• The 4x100m relay 'A' team of Imani Gray, Dominique Clarke, Chidinma Matthew, and Dee Denis placed first in 46.38; the 'B' team of Ashlyn Chartier, Marian Magassouba, Marion Osei-Boateng, and Makayla Waugh placed third in 49.75
• Kelly Iocca placed sixth in the 1,500m in 4:44.30; Sydney Coddington placed eighth in a personal-best 4:48.85
• Giovana Calamunci placed seventh in the 100m hurdles in 15.75
• Osei-Boateng placed sixth in the 100m in 12.71; Magassouba placed seventh in 12.76, and Waugh placed eighth in 13.36. All times were wind-aided
• Samantha Rutt placed fifth in the 800m in 2:14.70; Kaylah Quarshie placed eighth in 2:16.35
• Denis won the 400m hurdles in a personal-best 1:01.76; Asia Jinks placed second in 1:02.12

• The 4x400m relay 'A' team of Denis, Jinks, Rutt (58.90) and Quarshie (1:00.63) placed third in 3:58.04; the 'B' team of Matthew, Clarke, Kaitlyn Butterfield (1:01.52), and Osei-Boateng (1:05.67) placed fourth in 4:08.14

• Samantha Martinez placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing 10-02.00
• Rebeca Valerie Barrientos Alpha placed third in the triple jump in 38-01.25
• Ludith Campos placed fourth in the hammer throw in 177-09.00
• Shannon Bailey placed seventh in the high jump in 5-03.00; Payne tied for eighth in 5-01.00
• Bigsby placed second in the shot put in 44-02.00; Scott placed fourth in 43-03.00

 Next: The men compete at UConn tomorrow.  UAlbany's multis athletes will get their first cracks at the full heptathlon and decathlon next week at home, while the remainder of the team will make second trip to the University of Virginia for the Virginia Challenge.
