How it Happened Game 1
- Binghamton's Thomas Babalis held the Great Danes hitless through the first three innings before the Bearcats struck first.
- The Bearcats strung together three-straight hits in the bottom of the third, capped off by a Shane Marshall two-run double that gave Binghamton a 2-0 lead.
- UAlbany responded in the fourth when Brad Malm produced UAlbany's first hit of the day, a double, that drove home Dolan Ocasal. Johnny Marti grounded out to second that scored Malm, as UAlbany tied the game 2-2.
- In the fifth inning, Jason Bottari was stranded on third as Josh Salandy grounded out. The teams were both held scoreless for the remainder of the seven-inning game and headed to extra innings tied 2-2.
- Cregg Scherrer relieved Ray Weber in the eighth inning and produced three outs after surrendering a leadoff bunt single.
- In the ninth, Josh Gurnack led off with a single and advanced to second the next at-bat. With Michael Whalen in to pinch run, he was stranded on second after two-straight strikeouts.
- UAlbany took a 3-2 lead in the 10th with a Will Feil sacrifice fly before Binghamton responded in the bottom half with a sacrifice fly of their own.
- In the 12th inning, the Great Danes piled on four runs behind a Chris Fisher sacrifice fly, Bottari two-run single and Bottari scored on a wild pitch. With a 7-3 lead, Scherrer was able to complete his fifth inning of relief to earn his first win of the season and take a game one victory.
How it Happened Game 2
- UAlbany carried the game one 12th inning momentum into game two when they struck for three first inning runs. Brad Malm drove in the game's first run with a single, followed by a Josh Gurnack one-run double and Jason Bottari fielder's choice RBI.
- With a 3-0 lead in the first, UAlbany surrendered one run to Binghamton in the bottom half. Kevin Gsell grounded out and drove in the Bearcats' first run and cut UAlbany's lead to 3-1.
- After two scoreless innings, Binghamton scored again on an Anthony Germinerio wild pitch to cut the lead to 3-2.
- The Great Danes responded with a Malm two-run single in the fourth inning and took a 5-2 lead. Binghamton responded with a fielder's choice RBI in the bottom half and cut the lead to 5-3.
