Coach Chris Cannata: "We showed some fight in game one, but didn't get the hits. We simply got outplayed in game two. We'll look to bounce back tomorrow."

Key Stats Game One:

  • Tara Driver led the way with two RBIs off a single in the sixth, her lone hit of the afternoon. Morgan Petty and defending America East Player of the Week Kelly Barkevich also collected RBIs along with Jimenez and Driver.
  • Barkevich was the only Great Dane to register multiple hits, finishing with two including a solo homerun.
Key Stats Game Two:
  • Wendi Hammond pitched the majority of the game for UAlbany, going 4.0 innings and allowing four earned runs on eight hits.
  • Alexis Hammond and Lové Drumgole were the only two Great Danes to register a hit, both collecting singles. Katie Falotico also reached base via a walk.
  • The UAlbany defense was responsible for three errors in the game.
How it Happened Game One:
  • Jimenez started things off for UAlbany with a solo shot to center in the second, putting the Great Danes out in front.
  • UMass Lowell recorded five runs in the bottom half of the second, with two runs coming off a Rizzi single, two coming off a Ratcliff double, and two more coming from a Siteman single.
  • UAlbany picked up two more runs in the fourth inning. Barkevich sent one out of the park to make the score 5-2 before Falotico reached on an error, scoring Drumgole.
  • UMass Lowell responded immediately, tacking on three runs in the bottom half of the inning to make the lead 8-3.
