Coach Rowan Thomson: "It was great to take the field today after almost a year without a game, to be together as a team, and to compete against a very strong Boston College squad. This match helps us see where we are and where we can improve moving forward, and we can build on today's positives. We enjoyed competing at a high level and we learned a lot from today's game. Our team looks forward to the opportunity for a quick turnaround to play again on Thursday."

How it Happened
Â
- Boston College got in the board quickly, scoring in the first minute to go up 1-0. Kendra Harbinger tied the game at one 61 seconds later, scoring her first goal since May 2, 2019, after making just two appearances in the COVID-shortened 2020 season due to injury.
- The Eagles rolled off the next three straight to take a 4-1 lead before Kyla Zapolski scored back-to-back goals to cut the Great Danes' deficit to one. Boston College responded with a 4-0 run to take an 8-4 lead with 18:21 left in the first half.
- Madison Conway, 2019 America East Offensive Player of the Year, ended the Eagles' run with her first goal of the season. Boston College scored twice before Hailey Carroll got on the board, making the score 10-5 in favor of the Eagles.
- Boston College led 14-7 at halftime, seeing Charlotte North account for six goals in the first half. The Eagles had outshot the Great Danes 26-13 in the first 30 minutes, but UAlbany held a narrow advantage of 11-10 in draw controls.
- Conway set up Zapolski with 26:57 left in the second to end Boston College's quick 2-0 run to start the half. After the Eagles went up 18-8 with 26:03 remaining, neither team scored until Boston College broke through again with 18:40 to go.
- The Eagles maintained their double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game, leading by as many as 13 before UAlbany rolled off the final three goals to close the second half. Carroll let UAlbany with four goals, while Conway contributed six total points, and Harbinger and Zapolski each scored three times. North finished with eight goals for Boston College.
