ALBANY, N.Y.- Senior outside hitter Chloe Evering was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.

The 2019 Academic All-District Volleyball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.

The San Marcos, California native boasts a 3.99 GPA as a Biology Major with a minor in Psychology, and on the court ranks second on the team in kills (186) and third in points (219.0)

Evering and the Great Danes will return to action on Friday, November 15 at Binghamton. First serve is set for 7 p.m
