UAlbany football returns to Casey Stadium tonight! In an effort to provide the best gameday experience, UAlbany Athletics wanted to send out a few reminders about tomorrow's game versus Richmond.
GAMEDAY INFORMATION:
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO UALBANY'S TAILGATING RULES:
- UAlbany may limit tailgating access to those with reserved/paid parking, a game ticket and/or studnet ID
- All tailgating must end 15 minutes prior to the start of the game
- All tailgatng lots must be vacated 90 minutes after the game ends
- Reminders: No glass containers of any kind are permitted in tailgating areas.
- Tailgating lots open 4 hours prior to gametime (3pm).
SEFCU Lot and Dutch Lot Parking:
- Parking lots will open at 3pm on Saturday.
- The SEFCU Lot and Dutch Lot are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- SEFCU Lot is restricted to pass holders only. Please have your pass readily available as you enter campus.
- DUTCH Lot will be priced at $10 per vehicle. RV's and campers are welcomed and will be charged $50 in the DUTCH Lot.
Handicap Parking:
Handicap parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the SEFCU Lot as well as a reserve lot located near the Physical Education Building
Your legally issued handicap hangtag or license plate will gain you access into these lots SEFCU Lot.
LYFT DROP OFF
Lyft is the official ridshare partner of UAlbany Athletics. Lyft service will be available for all home football games in Casey Stadium.
The Lyft Rideshare drop-off and pick-up zone will be located at the SEFCU Arena Bus Circle. (Please see the map below.) In addition to dedicated drop-off and pick-up locations, Lyft will have visibility at select Great Danes football and men's and women's basketball home contests for the 2018-19 seasons, and will engage fans via onsite activations.

TICKETS:
- Casey Stadium box offices will open at 3:00pm.
- Box offices are located at the North and South entrances to the stadium.
- Note, longer lines are expected. Please allow yourself extra time when entering the stadium.
- To save time, you may purchase tickets via UAlbanySports.com/tickets through the start of the game.
WILL CALL:
- Will Call is located under the tent at the South end of Casey Stadium.
- Team pass lists, media credentials, and advanced sale tickets can be picked up starting at 5:30pm.
- Fans arriving after halftime should pick up game tickets at the South Box Office.
- Please be prepared for longer lines at will call due to the demand of the game.
GREAT DANE GAME DAY:
Food, drinks, inflatables, games and music all will be part of this season's Great Dane Game Day, a pregame fan-fest before the first four University at Albany football games at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.
Great Dane Game Day will open at 5pm in the south lawn of Casey Stadium.
TAILGATING FAQ's:
Is tailgating allowed on gameday?
- Tailgating is permitted in the SEFCU Arena parking lot and designated areas of the Dutch Quad parking lot. Tailgating space is limited to those patrons with an appropriate parking pass or permit. Access to the tailgating area may be limited to those patrons who have a valid game ticket for the contest being held that day.
What time does the SEFCU and Dutch parking lots open for tailgating?
- Tailgating parking lots will open four (4) hours prior to the start of the event or contest. Tailgating must discontinue 15 minutes prior to the start of the event or contest, there is no tailgating allowed while the event or contest is underway, and tailgating lots must be cleaned and fully vacated 90 minutes following the conclusion of the event or contest. University at Albany policy 7.1 prohibits camping on the University campus including overnight parking. In addition, no overnight parking will be permitted in tailgating areas the night before or the night following the event or contest.
Can I bring my own alcohol to my tailgate?
- Alcohol is permitted to be consumed in tailgating areas by individuals who are 21 or older, consistent with New York State law and the University's Policy on Alcohol. All state and local alcohol laws will be strictly enforced in tailgating areas and elsewhere; consistent with local laws, open containers are prohibited outside designated tailgating areas. For fans who choose to consume alcohol, the University encourages them to drink responsibly, to serve food and nonalcoholic beverages at their tailgates and to have designated drivers to accommodate guests and hosts alike or use public transportation, taxi or ride sharing services to and from the event or contest.
Are glass containers and kegs allowed?
- Glass containers and kegs are prohibited. Bulk containers, including but not limited to kegs and beer balls, are prohibited. Drinking game tables or other paraphernalia, including but not limited to beer pong tables, beer bongs, and funnels are prohibited.
Can I grill while tailgating?
- Propane grills with cylinders 20 lbs. or under are permitted. Charcoal grills are also permitted but must be disposed of responsibly by dousing the charcoals with water and emptying them into the labeled metal receptacles provided by the University within the tailgating area. Open flames are not permitted in any tailgate or parking area.
May I set up a tent at my tailgate?
- Tents or canopies (which may not exceed 10' x 10') are permitted. They must be secured by weights or otherwise safely anchored and may not obstruct fire/safety lanes, sidewalks, drive lanes, pedestrian walkways or other parking spots. These structures must be an extension of your vehicle. Tailgating amenities including furniture, grills, generators or satellite dishes may not obstruct fire/safety lanes, sidewalks, drive lanes, pedestrian walkways or other parking spots. Driving or parking private vehicles on all green spaces and sidewalks is prohibited.

UAlbany Athletics, along with the University at Albany Police Department, reserve the right to search any bag before entry into Casey Stadium. This policy will help to provide a safer environment for our fans and student-athletes.
- Per NCAA rules, please note that UMBRELLAS are PROHIBITED in Casey Stadium.
- Blankets, portable chairs/seats, ponchos are permitted.
- Other PROHIBITED items include but are not limited to:
- Pets (unless a service dog), bottles, cans, coolers, alcoholic beverages, outside food or drink, professional cameras and tripods, noise makers, banners/signs/sticks, chains, illegals substances, firearms, laser pointers, fireworks, aerosol cans, pepper spray, and any item deemed by UAlbany Athletics or UPD as dangerous or inappropriate.
