Short Story: UAlbany track & field takes home seven event victories and one school record in Boston in the first live action of the 2018-19 season.

  • Kaylah Quarshie placed sixth in the women's mile in 5:02.91
  • UAlbany swept the top three places in the women's 60m hurdles.  Sophia Myers won in 8.76, Namara Carr placed second in 8.88 (8.871), and Chibugo Ike placed third in 8.88 (8.875).  Additionally, Asia Jinks placed eighth in 9.26.  Ike qualified first overall in the preliminary round in 8.81.
  • Sidney Gibbons won the men's 60m hurdles in 8.02; Walter Briggs placed seventh in 8.35
  • Solange Wright placed fifth in the women's 600m in 1:37.14
  • Evan DeGraw won the men's 600m in 1:20.06
  • Jahari Coleman placed fourth in the women's 60m in 7.81
  • Osiris Nicholson placed fifth in the men's 60m after qualifying in 7.02
  • Samantha Rutt placed fourth in the women's 800m in 2:17.19
  • Austin Sperl placed third in the men's 800m in 1:56.22
  • Myles Banfield placed fourth in the men's 300m in 34.07; Jan Michael Gutierrez Almedina placed sixth in 34.27, and Briggs placed seventh in 34.64
  • Joey Somerville placed fifth in the men's 1,000m in 2:28.24
  • The women's 4x400m relay 'B' team of Wright, Rutt, Quarshie, and Alicia Grady placed second in 3:55.84
  • The men's 4x400m relay team of Briggs, Gutierrez Almedina, Matthew LeLiever, and Banfield placed second in 3:16.55
  • Hannah Reinhardt set a new school record in the women's 5,000m, finishing 23rd in 16:16.27, a personal best of 11 seconds and indoor-specifc best of 27 seconds that surpasses the previous record of 16:27.69 set in 2014 by Silvia Del Fava, and also surpasses the outdoor record of 16:21.12 set in 2013 by Brittney Lane 
  • EJ Onah placed second in the women's long jump in 18-07.75
  • Anika Hibbard placed second in the women's high jump, clearing 5-07.00; Victoria Stoffel placed sixth, clearing 5-05.00
  • Victor Cotto won the men's long jump in 23-05.25; Jake Coveney placed fifth in 21-09.50
  • Lynda Brundige won the women's triple jump in 39-08.75
  • Devon Willis won the men's triple jump in 50-04.00; Omahri Sturdivant placed second in 49-02.50, and Robert Blue placed fifth in 47-08.50
  • David Carlson won the men's weight throw in 64-05.25; Bryan Nicholson placed fifth in 51-03.75
