LEXINGTON, Ky. – A lightning delay held up the start of the third and final day of the NCAA East Preliminary Championships, meaning the final three student-athletes for the University at Albany had to wait before they were able to compete.
Once the lightning storm cleared, the men's triple jump got underway. Devon Willis placed 16th overall with a mark of 50-11.00. It was his first competition since Connecticut's Northeast Challenge on April 15. Jordan Crump-King also competed, but did not record a legal mark, fouling all three of his attempts.
The final Great Dane to compete was Jonathan Eustache in the men's discus. He placed 46th overall with a mark of 156-00.00.
Freshman Adrian Mitchell will continue on to NCAA Outdoor Championships starting on June 7 at the University of Oregon. The rest of the team has seen its 2016-17 season come to an end.
