ALBANY, N.Y. – With its season opener this week, the UAlbany men's lacrosse team went up a spot in each the USILA Coaches Poll and Inside Lacrosse media poll to #12 in the country.
UAlbany was placed #13 in each poll in the preseason and went up one spot in both. The Great Danes are tied for 12th in the coaches poll and alone in 12th in the media poll, each released on Monday.
UAlbany is the only ranked team in the America East and second-highest placed team in the state of New York.
UAlbany's season opener opponent, Syracuse, is #6 in both polls after the Orange's victory over Siena last weekend. UAlbany takes on Syracuse in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, February 18th at 3 p.m.
