Miles Thompson's Eight-Point Day Leads Iroquois Nationals to 2015 WILC Gold Medal Game

ONONDAGA NATION, N.Y. – Led by UAlbany alumni Miles Thompson '14 and Lyle Thompson '15, the Iroquois Nationals defeated the United States 17-10 to advance to the gold medal game of the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship (WILC).
Miles Thompson scored three goals and five assists for eight points, the highest point-total for any player in that game, while Lyle Thompson scored three goals and three assists. The Iroquois Nationals had an 8-0 first half run and led 11-4 at the break and return to the gold medal game for the fourth-consecutive WILC.
For the United States, Joe Resetarits '12 tied the team lead in points with five off two goals and three assists.
The Iroquois Nationals will take on three-time defending champion Canada, which defeated Israel 19-3 in the semifinals, in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse on Sunday, September 27th at 4 p.m.
Team USA will seek its fourth-consecutive bronze medal in the third-place game on Sunday, September 27th at 1 p.m. against Israel in the Carrier Dome.
